Over seven million hits and still no sign of any decrease in the hits for the song sung by Dhanush actor and Rajini‘s son in law . As soon as it was made public nothing could stop the track from becoming a rage. Why This Kolaveri Di, sung by the actor, is from his upcoming film (3) and has caught the fancy of not just the movie buffs but of celebs from Bollywood as well.

The  tune of the song  is infectious because of its simple lyrics in both English and Tamil. Why This Kolaveri Di, which means ‘Why this killer rage?’ is a romantic track expressing the pain of a love-struck boy. Kolaveri di (murderous rage) was released digitally on November 16 by Sony Music and it appeared as the number one Indian trend on Twitter on November 21.

In the video, Dhanush is seen singing in a studio and composer Anirudh Ravichander on the keyboard, while Dhanush’s director-wife Aishwarya, and co-star Shruti Hassan watch along. Recorded at 2am, the song is for his film 3.
