Sonakshi Sinha to play Mandakini in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2
Sonakshi Sinha has been signed for the most talked about role of Mandakini in the sequel of Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.
After playing similar characters in Dabangg and upcoming films Rowdy Rathore and Joker she will work opposite Akshay kumar one again. In Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2, Akshay Kumar will play an underworld don Shoaib and Sonakshi will be featured as Mandakini who falls in love with Shohaib. The film will also star Imran Khan who will play Akshay’s rival.
Earlier it was suggested Sonakshi was not sure about playing Akshay kumar’s girlfriend because of the bold scenes involved however the directors have decided to edit the scenes and Sonakshi is happy with the new decision.
On the topic of this being the third film in a row with Akshay, Sonakshi said, “It’s my third film with him. I think we share very good on-screen chemistry which is why people keep casting us together. He’s a very good co-star and fun on the sets. He has got a great sense of humour and is very grounded despite his superstar status.”
