Amrita Puri wore a soft blush Tarun Tahiliani saree at Teacher’s Achievement Awards 2013. Was it the way that she draped it? There was something about the look that did not make a hit with us.

Although it was perfectly accessorised with Amrapali earrings it is not one of our favourite looks. It just looked a tad messy on her.

Not to miss an opportunity to really grab the limelight on the red carpet, Jacqueline Fernandez opted to wear a coffee coloured Sabyasachi outfit at the Teacher’s Achievement Awards.

It’s such a fab outfit and we felt that Jacqueline wore it well. Loved her Manish Arora for Amrapali earrings that coordinated well with the whole look.

Sabyasachi outfits have the dramatic effect which Jacqueline enhanced with heavy makeup and dark lippy.

Do we have anyone who does not like the look?

Raveena Tandon has been one busy lady this week, having to attend three events: GR8 Women Achiever’s Awards, launch of McDonald’s nation-wide Breakfast Pledge campaign, Lavasa Women’s Drive Awards 2013.

What to wear? For the red carpet Raveena opted for a sparkly sequin white saree, At McDonald’s black wide leg pants and white top. Very handy as it’s not easy being perched on the counter! For Lavasa a shiny nude full sleeve blouse with black pants again.

Now why she can’t she do something different with her hair?

Swara Bhaskar hit the red carpet at Teacher’s Achievement Awards wearing a black ensemble.

Her sophisticated outfit consisted of black palazzo pants and black jacket both by Anita Dongre. Who would have thought that something so simple would have us gushing? Her all-out glamour look was styled with stunning earrings and ring by Estaa

With her hair swept back, glossy lips perfect smoky eyes and just a little peek of her tattoo she has every reason to smile.

Maria Goretti at Haagen Dazs showed off her legs in a summery yellow frock.

It’s hard to wear such a vibrant colour and so glad that it’s a simple dress as the colour just speaks for itself. We like the turquoise strappy sandals that she wore. Nice touch.

Wonder what flavour ice-cream she is holding!! Cookies and cream, choc choc chip…yum yum

Karisma Kapoor glammed up in a Dolce and Gabbana ceramic print dress accessorised with jewellery from Roopa Vohra at the Indian Princess Beauty Pageant.

As mentioned earlier Karisma Kapoor always looks sophisticated but maybe it was the lighting this time round but in some of the shots she looks tired out.

Shruti Seth and Monica Bedi are the latest ladies to jump on to the stripy trendy look seen a lot during some of the catwalks at New York Fashion Week. Monochrome is a huge SS’13 trend and everyone is wearing them

You either love the stripes or hate them. We think that one outfit in stripes or even two is essential in this season’s wardrobe but we don’t think we would go crazy for them.

Seeing Monica and Shruti in stripes is fine, but keep looking at them and you start to feel a bit dizzy!!!

As the weather is getting a little warmer one way to look chic is throwing on a blazer over a dress. Its great half way solution in keeping out the slight coolness but not looking overpowering warm.

Shazahn Padamsee, Shonali Nagrani and Rochelle Maria Rao all had the same idea with their jackets. Shazahn opted for a simple black jacket over her blue dress; Shonali on the other hand went white over her navy blue dress while Rochelle showed of her waist with bright tailored jacket.
