Imran Khan is making sure he does not miss out on his fitness regime because of his busy work schedule. He called up his trainer on the sets of “Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2″.

Co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2″ is a sequel to the 2010 movie “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” and also stars Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Sonali Bendre in lead roles.

“We have been shooting 12-hour shifts every day, all month, without a single off. As a result, I have had to bring my trainer on the set to work out in between shots. We have also built a space for dance rehearsals,” Imran said in a statement.

The southern film industry is far more traditional than Bollywood, which caters to a wider audience and gives opportunities to women in technical fields, says actress Asin Thottumkal after a five-year stint in Hindi films.

“The south Indian film industry is more traditional. This reflects in their work. The cultural differences, language and approach are completely different, while Bollywood is more open and caters to a wider audience,” Asin told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.

There is another key difference, she added. Down south “people are ready to accept you the way you are. They appreciate and value simplicity. You don’t have to wear make-up or be in your glamorous image when you make public appearances”.

Amitabh Bachchan was named Timeless Style Icon in a recent poll while actors Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar were chosen as Reader’s Choice Style Icons.

The actors won their respective titles through a contest that allowed readers of a leading daily to vote for their favourite style icon. The winners were announced at an event – Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 – held here Thursday night.

Actress Dia Mirza, who was present at the event, said a woman’s grace adds to her beauty.

Some of them look hot. Some look amazing and some look downright shabby. Some of our thoughts about the boys in blue…John Abraham looks cool, Abhishek Bachchan nice, Akshay Kumar very nice, and Neil Nitin smart.

Ones we think did not hit the mark…Saif Ali Khan too stripy and that goes for Riteish as well, Tusshar Kapoor…make your mind up, are you in the gym or not? Kunal Kapoor too formal.

The ‘Self Made’ superstar and Bollywood’s action hero Akshay Kumar has turned singer in his upcoming film ‘Special Chabbis’ and has dedicated the song to his wife Twinkle. But that doesn’t mean Akshay is taking this profession seriously, He sang it for Passion.

“I rehearsed the song for three hours before recording. However, this song will not be used in the film. I just did it as a passion. I want to dedicate this song to my wife Twinkle as tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and Valentine’s Day is also coming soon” said the 45 year old Akshay Kumar.

Bollywood celebrities have been busy jet setting around the world in 2012. While we can just get in and out of the airport without anyone taking any photos of us its different story for celebs who always have photographers chasing them.

You would guess that the celebs would make some sort of effort. In fairness a few do. Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan always look comfortable and smart. However take a look at Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan very casual looks.

We don’t want you to miss out on what the men folk wore to Big Star Entertainment Awards. As Abhinav and Ashima Shukla’s wedding reception was also going on, majority of the celebrities attended both events in the same attire.

The Bollywood men stuck to formal black and grey suits, although not entirely sure what Akshay Kumar and Arjun Kapoor had in mind. They just did not look spruced up. We were hesitant about Ayushmann Khurrana but he went to the trouble of making sure that his shirt tie and jacket all colour matches…so brownie points to him.

Most of the men kept their top shirt buttons open but looks like Akshay Kumar went for an extra button and has landed up looking bit like Magnum, P.I
