I like everything about stardom. I don’t mind being in the public eye. If anyone tells you that they want to be a film actor but they don’t want to be a star that means they are lying. I love acting and love the fact the people like both my work and me. I am not pretentious enough to say that I cannot stand the attention.

Bollywood’s father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in a special song in “Bombay Talkies”.

A compilation of four short films celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema, “Bombay Talkies” has contributions by Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.

The makers have shot one special song for the film that will feature some of the known Bollywood stars including Sonam and Anil, said a statement.

Though she was brought up in Mumbai, Sonam Kapoor loves to play a Delhi girl on celluloid and adds that she feels like one nowadays.

“I love Delhi – the people, space in this city. I think there is so much character in the city. Of course, every city has its negatives and positives. I love playing a Delhi girl because I feel inherently I am one,”

“Delhi 6″ saw her portraying a middle-class girl from old Delhi area, while in “Aisha”, she was seen as an uptown fashionista from high society of the capital.

Currently Sonam is shooting for Yash Raj Films’ untitled film with Ayushmann Khurrana in the city.

Amitabh Bachchan was named Timeless Style Icon in a recent poll while actors Sonam Kapoor and Akshay Kumar were chosen as Reader’s Choice Style Icons.

The actors won their respective titles through a contest that allowed readers of a leading daily to vote for their favourite style icon. The winners were announced at an event – Mumbai’s Most Stylish 2013 – held here Thursday night.

Actress Dia Mirza, who was present at the event, said a woman’s grace adds to her beauty.

You still look so young, even at this age

(Laughs) Thank you for the compliment. Every day I hear this compliment umpteen number of times. I look young, because I am still young in my heart. I have noticed that when audiences all over the world starts appreciating you and work, when you are satisfied with the amount of good work you have done, there’s a particular ‘Glow’ that comes on your face. That particular glow keeps you young and going, and also my family life, my children are the reason.
