Masaba Gupta’s first creations for Satya Paul will kick-start the 21st edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) here Wednesday. The event will see 128 designers showcasing plethora of works and colours on the ramp and wooing buyers from destinations like Japan and Australia.

Dominated by India-inspired themes, the five-day event will also have a solo show by youngster Aneeth Arora, while Manish Arora has been named the grand finale designer.

An initiative of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the fashion event will take place at Pragati Maidan.

The upcoming edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW), to be held next month, will have 128 designers showcasing their collection on the ramp and racks.

The WIFW organising body, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) Wednesday announced the list of designers who will take part at the five-day extravaganza, which starts March 13.

Time now to grab designer wear at marked down prices. A host of designers are set to sell their high-end collections at low prices as part of a shopping fiesta titled Splurge.

Designers like Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Ranna Gill, Shantanu-Nikhil, Rahul Khanna-Rohit Gandhi and Rina Dhaka will be a part of the one-of-its-kind exhibition.

Organised by Delhi Dynamic Round Table 157′ (DDRT157), an organisation dedicated to the socially bereaved children, the event will be held Feb 22 at the Sheraton here.

Gupta feels happy to be the part of the event.

Aditi Rao Hydari opted to wear an Anju Modi anarkali for her films promotions on the sets of Nach Baliye.

It’s quite a different take on an anarkali with Aditi flaunting her back. We are of course delighted that she is pushing the fashion stakes higher.

Loving her gold/ bronze eye shadow and gold earrings that complemented the outfit. Side swept hair completed her look.

Usually there is always a girlie innocence about her look and we felt that was slightly mature look for her which incidentally we liked. It must be that slightly revealing cleavage!!

With the release of the exclusive first look poster of Eros International & Bhansali Production’s Ram Leela – leading lady Deepika Padukone is the cynosure of all eyes, as her rustic-desi avatar was an immediate hit.

The lehenga she sports in the poster weighed a whopping 30 kgs and has a 50 meter ghera designed by Anju Modi, who went out of her way to bring the intricacies of Kutch to Deepika’s wardrobe in Ram Leela to meet Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s exacting standards.
Says designer Anju “Sanjay and I were very clear about the look we wanted to give Deepika. So, while the lehengas had to reflect the royal lineage of the Kutch region, they also had to have a very contemporary feel as Ram Leela is not a period drama,”

What do you notice about Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty and Madhuri Dixit at Abhinav and Ashima Shukla’s wedding reception? They all turned up in pale whites. We wonder why they opted to wear whites and thought that they would of glammed up a bit more.

Madhuri Dixit has some gold embellishments in her lengha by Anju Modi…who else her favourite designers of course. She looked like one of those princesses in story books.

Shilpa Shetty in Abu Jani was the biggest surprise of all. It’s a wedding reception!!! She could have been walking down the park in that outfit although maybe not going by her jewels and Bubbly Preity Zinta was not bubbling this time.
