Esha Deol feels Bollywood fashion of the 1960s and 1970s, when bell-bottoms and bell-sleeves were a rage in “bright and colourful” apparel, should return.

“That was a very happy phase when Zeenat Aman to my mother (Hema Malini) and everyone used to wear very bright and colourful dresses,” said the 31-year-old actress at a party organised following a Blackberry fashion show here Friday.

“Watching those movies, the bell-bottoms and bell-sleeves was so much fun. I wish that gets back to fashion,” she added.

Hema Malini was the chief guest at the inauguration of Malabar Gold & Diamonds store. She looked every inch the ‘Dream Girl’ in her beige colour saree. Interestingly her son in law Bharat Takhtani was there as well. Maybe he just tagged along or mother in law could be showing him what jewels his wife would like.

Bharat Takhtani and Esha Deol attended the OR-G lounge launch. We have not seen the couple a lot after their wedding so it was pleasant surprise to see them

It looks like the couple’s style bug has already caught them. The pair both went for checked looks. Bharat Takhtani went for a check shirt while Esha also thought that she would go one step further opted for bigger checks.

Esha Deol’s 30th birthday Friday coincides with her first Karva Chauth and the actress says she will have to wait to gorge on goodies until the moon appears.

“My birthday and my first Karva Chauth!!! Will wait for the moon and then eat my birthday cake,” tweeted Esha.

The actress, daughter of veteran stars Hema Malini and Dharmendra, married businessman Bharat Takhtani in June this year.

On the big screen, Esha was last seen in 2011 film “Tell Me O Kkhuda”, which was an attempt by her mother to relaunch her in showbiz.

Esha Deol who married businessman Bharat Takhtani June 29 this year, told reporters: “If something comes my way and if it suits my family situation, I will take it up. It has to be a respectable character, for I can’t be doing ‘Dhoom’-kind roles now.”

Talking of her future plans, she said, “I have a home production firm and I am starting television production soon. Of course, my classical dance engages me too.”

The actress said that she had no film roles in the pipeline, as of now.

Sparkling diamonds, 22 karat gold created into amazing designs and fabulous path breaking trends made the Azva wedding jewellery show a memorable opening at Aamby Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2012.

The bridal jewellery had gorgeous necklaces, which dazzled under the arc lights, the earrings were a vision to behold and bangles twinkled daintily on the slender wrists of the pretty models.

Ending the show were the newlyweds – the gorgeous Esha Deol and her dashing husband, Bharat Takhtani. Esha was decked in the most magnificent giant gold lacy rigid pearl edged necklace that covered her shoulders and was encrusted with ruby flowers with matching earrings and bracelets.

Madhuri Dixit wore a pink and white saree to Esha Doel and Bharat wedding reception. The colour looks beautiful against her skin tone and thankfully it was not the same shade as Esha’s lengha.

Madhuri always has her radiant smile that leaves everyone smitten. Her husband also appears to more at ease now than before when he use to attend events.

As always she gets a perfect 10 from us.

Vidya Blan wore a royal purple traditional Kanjeevaram sarees at Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani’s wedding reception. We were thinking that she come clad in a Sabyasachi but she surprised us all.

Still we can’t complain as she is one of the few Bollywood actresses who has her own unique style and no matter what or where she is one for effortless glamour.
