Deepika Padukone ‘I know how to be competitive in a healthy way’
Deepika Padukone, whose father was a badminton champion, uses the spirit of sportsmanship while working in filmdom and says she knows how to be competitive in a positive manner.
One of the A-list actresses, she has some good projects in hand like “Chennai Express” with Shah Rukh Khan and “Rana” with southern superstar Rajinikanth.
“I think there are two ways to look at it. Everybody doesn’t get to do each and every film. I don’t compete with others; I compete with myself. I have been an athlete, a sportsperson; so I know how to be competitive in a healthy way,” Deepika, a former badminton player whose father, Prakash Padukone, was a national badminton champion and won the coveted All-England badminton crown, told reporters in an exclusive interview.
Deepika Padukone ‘I have been disappointed with two to three films that I did’
If Deepika Padukone is satisfied after doing romantic comedy “Cocktail” in 2012, she wishes she had been part of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 2011 musical hit “Rockstar”.
“I am more than happy I was part of ‘Cocktail’. It was the most satisfying experience to do the film. The audience really appreciated me a lot in ‘Cocktail’,” Deepika told reporters.
Deepika Padukone ‘I am someone who has always believed in quality versus quantity’
She has done glamorous as well as non-glamorous roles but Deepika Padukone feels sad when people think a glamorous role does not require hard work.
“I think the role is more important. It is a misconception that a glamorous role doesn’t require acting talent. It’s a bit strange, because I think at the end of the day, any kind of film — whether it is glamorous or ‘de-glam’ (non-glamorous) – requires acting. Acting is acting,” Deepika told reporters in an exclusive interview.
Kareena Kapoor ‘If you are in love and you are happy, then that’s all that matters’
Saif Ali Khan, as far as Kareena Kapoor is concerned, is not just the perfect husband but also the perfect actor who can’t be slotted in any genre. Besides, his intelligence and varied work make him stand out in Bollywood.
“Saif is a wonderful actor. He is a thinking actor who is way ahead of time.
He does some great work, and he is an intelligent actor. He is fun also,” Kareena told reporters in an exclusive interview.
“He does a ‘Cocktail’, an ‘Omkara’, an ‘Agent Vinod’ – that’s what Saif’s USP is. He can never be slotted in any kind of genre. He is versatile. He is the only Khan, I feel… he is a very intelligent person,” she added about her husband.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor return from their vacation in London (PHOTOS)
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are back in town after their vacation in London. So we heard that Saif Ali Khan wanted to celebrate his birthday away from home and London was the perfect place for an intimate get together…with his lady love of course.
Another reason why Saif went to London was apparently there was too much media attention on when they will get married and also he wanted to celebrate the success of his film Cocktail.
So now they are back and the media can get churning again when and where they will get married.
Won’t it be better if they just went ahead and tied the knot?
