Ekta Kapoor does try very hard and we would love to say something equally complimentary about her looks but it’s so hard! Wearing a Sonam M lengha at a wedding fails to get us admiring her look. Now we have seen shots of her showing of her nice figure so why she has to turn towards baggy clothes is beyond our comprehension. Once again her wedges make an unwelcome appearance.

Discouragement and distrust is what producer Ekta Kapoor faced when she decided to make movies. But she took it with a pinch of salt and made a mark in filmdom by churning out hit movies on a wide range of topics – from underworld to supernatural thrillers – and proving naysayers wrong.

“When I did television, I was told that I cannot do movies and I won’t be able to understand the medium. People thought my movies will be all about jewellery and ‘saas-bahu’,” Ekta told reporters in an interview.

In television world, she made an impressive beginning in 1995 with the comedy show “Hum Paanch” about a couple with five daughters. It turned out to be a huge success and changed the fortune of Ekta, then a plump 20-year-old who was carrying the legacy of being actor Jeetendra’s daughter.

We think that this is what Ekta Kapoor must of thought before going for the Ek Thi Daayan promotions ‘what to wear…can’t see anything I like. Ok it’s got to be this black outfit again. At least it’s black and people do say…black safe colour. Ah a nice colourful duppata to go with it. That will cheer everyone up. Oh the shoes….I will go for my black wedges again. So much standing to do and need to be comfy. Yeap I think I will pass’

Wow…we could not believe it when we saw Ekta Kapoor on the cover of Filmfare April 2013 with Siddharth Roy Kapur and Karan Johar. Forget the men it’s Ekta Kapoor that grabbed our attention.

Now we know that how photos are taken and how they can make people look wonderfully beautiful but this is such a transformation.

Without those baggy black maxis that she is always seen in and mangled messed up hair she looks fantastic on the cover.

Around 70 people including 30 celebrities walked the ramp as designer Vikram Phadnis showcased his fashion line Monday at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort 2013 on the theme of celebration of rural India.

Ashutosh Gowariker, Anurag Basu, Vaibhavi Merchant, Ekta Kapoor, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Kunal Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Poonam Sinha, Vaibhavi Merchant, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, Farah Khan, Rohit Bal, Dia Mirza, Jitendra, Sushant Singh Rajput, Juhi Chawla among others walked the ramp supporting the noble cause.

Phadnis also made it a point to include various common people from Swades foundation who walked with the celebrities.

Phadnis partnered with Swades Foundation, an NGO working for the empowerment of rural India, for his fashion show. He dedicated his line to this cause.

Once again we have Ekta Kapoor at Babli Badmaash Launch Party looking all creased up and messed up wearing a sheer black long dress. Those ghastly black sandals make an appearance again.
