Farhan Akhtar recited the poems from the Rajeev Paul’s Poetry book “Mumbai, Mohabbat aur Tanhai” which is a stupendous success. Farhan read two of his favourite poems which he selected himself.

Farhan stated, “Reading poems have been always passion and when I read “Tanhai I figured out Rajeev is extremely talented.

Hearing this Rajeev replied “Farhan’s gesture to agree to read poetry has been very humbling and I am indebted to him for the same “.

Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara won the best film award at IIFA 2012 today. Farhan Akhtar was also awarded the Best male Performance in a Supporting Role for his part in the film and Zoya Akhtar bagged the best director award.

The film starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol,Katrina Kaif , Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin also sweeped the technical awards last night.

It was also a good night for Parineeti Chopra who bagged two awards. One for best supporting actress and also best female debut of the year  for her role in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl.

Farhan Akhtar attended the launch of HSBC and Makemytrip credit card all suited and booted. Wondering about his bearded look ? Farhan is  growing his hair and beard to play the role of Milkha Singh in his orthcoming film. “I couldn’t possibly fake that Sardar look. So yeah I’m going to keep growing my beard and hair until March when we start shooting” So its not just that he decided that he wanted  a new look. Do you think the beard suits him?

Every party needs a little red dress and Priyanka Chopra hit the mark with this Elizabeth and James’ open-back silk chiffon style at Farhan Akhtar’s birthday bash. The look was completed with flowing wavy locks and gold peep toe pumps. The only thing missing is a clutch to keep those things she is holding in her hands!

It was great to see Katrina Kaif in springtime yellow mellow dress when she attended Farhan Akhtar’s birthday bash. It gets so boring when so many ladies have started to wear black at all times. Katrina opted for a asymmetric chiffon dress with ruffle sleeves. With hair down she looked sweet as lemon drops.

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan along with other Bollywood celebs arrived at Farhan Akhtar’s residence  to wish him on his birthday. Gauri Khan bought glitter to the party by wearing a beautiful black sequined skirt with  basic white tee tucked in highlighting her long, lean and tan legs paired with sliver peep toe sandals and box sliver clutch. She looked simple but chic, just wish Shah Rukh made more of an effort.
