Esha Deol feels Bollywood fashion of the 1960s and 1970s, when bell-bottoms and bell-sleeves were a rage in “bright and colourful” apparel, should return.

“That was a very happy phase when Zeenat Aman to my mother (Hema Malini) and everyone used to wear very bright and colourful dresses,” said the 31-year-old actress at a party organised following a Blackberry fashion show here Friday.

“Watching those movies, the bell-bottoms and bell-sleeves was so much fun. I wish that gets back to fashion,” she added.

Hema Malini was the chief guest at the inauguration of Malabar Gold & Diamonds store. She looked every inch the ‘Dream Girl’ in her beige colour saree. Interestingly her son in law Bharat Takhtani was there as well. Maybe he just tagged along or mother in law could be showing him what jewels his wife would like.

We don’t know what a usually very sophisticated lady was thinking when she chose this drab grey outfit! We prefer you in sarees! Neha Dhupia appears in the best and worst this week for her choice of this grey and mustard ensemble!

Hema Malini, Farah Khan, Anita Dongre and Lillette Dubey were amongst the ladies to grace the FICCI-FLO womens Achievers Awards.

Whilst many dressed for the occasion and we must say that Lillette Dubey looked stunning in her vibrant purple and red saree Hema Malini left us bemused with her choice of outfit light grey floaty top paired with a long dark grey skirt and very minimal make-up!

When we saw Hema Malini at the Star Guild Awards Red Carpet there was no question that we had seen this saree on her before. Of course it was at her daughter’s wedding.

Wearing the ivory /cream saree again, she this time around she teamed it up with a LV clutch which looks so much better. Hema Malini always looks graceful in her sarees.

We have had three sightings of Hema Malini at the Stree Shakti events. Have to say that in sarees she looks so elegant that her rather casual tone down look at the press conference.

Hema Malini says she can move and groove every which way – be it for Indian classical or western forms of dance.

“I have never even tried doing western dance. I don’t even think I will be able to do it. But whoever learns classical dance, can do any kind of dance. We just have to have the mindset that ‘yes, we have to do it’. So, I will also do it,” the actress said at her show “Stree Shakti”.
