What is with John Abraham that he has to give the thumbs ups at every event? We are getting so tired off and frankly don’t find it amusing. Does he even realise that he is doing it or is it just a reflex that he has. At this rate he’d not going to have much of a thumb left.

John Abraham says his mother is involved in a lot of social work for humans as well as animals. Ahead of Mother’s Day, which falls May 12, he says she is the best mom one can have.

“Thank god I have got someone like my mother in my house who devotes more time to these children and also animals and old age homes… That’s the best mother one can have,” the 40-year-old said here Saturday at an event organised by Make-A-Wish Foundation.

John Abraham poses for the cover of Filmfare May 2013 issue. There is something very odd about his pose. In fact he looks very uncomfortable learning against the piano. We would have to say that this is not a cover that appeals to us at all. Don’t like the pose nor are we fans of his attire.

John Abraham has urged the government to end use of animals in circus performances.

On behalf of animal rights organisation PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals) India, John has written a letter to Jayanthi Natarajan, Minister for Environment and Forests, urging her to make all circuses in India animal-free.

In the letter, John has pointed out that animals in circuses are routinely beaten and forced to perform unnatural tricks against their will.

Grazia India celebrated its fifth anniversary with a ceremony of honouring a new brigade of talented designers with the Grazia Young Fashion Awards, 2013.

Ten designers and three Grazia cover girls were awarded. The Grazia Young Fashion Awards (GYFA) as a result of months of shortlisting and discussions. In addition to the ten designers, the winners also included an exclusive selection of awards, the GYFA Cover Girl of the Year, Deepika Padukone, GYFA Face of the Year, Diana Penty, and GYFA Model of the Year, Kanishtha Dhankar.

Grazia Men with a dapper John Abraham was unveiled by the star himself, along with Tarun Rai – Chief Executive Office, Worldwide Media, Anupama Bhalla – Brand Publisher, GRAZIA and Mehernaaz Dhondy – Editor, GRAZIA.

John Abraham is a self-confessed football freak and wants to visit Brazil next year for the FIFA World Cup finals.

“I love travelling to a lot of spots, but the place I would like to go now is to Brazil next year. I love football. I want to go for the World Cup Finals,” the 40-year-old said here Wednesday at the launch of new range of Skybags bags.

In fact, John played the lead role in football-based drama “Dan Dana Dan Goal”, which revolved around an Asian football team in the Britain.

Currently John is busy promoting “Shootout At Wadala”, in which he is cast as Mumbai underworld don Manya Surve.
