What’s happening with the Gippi promotions? All of the actresses turning up in Dior dresses to impress. Although we adore the outfits we can’t say that all of them pulled off the look well. Did not like Jayati Modi styling [far left] and think if they had done their hair in different styles the dresses would have stood out more.

Just one film old Alia Bhatt says as an individual it is important to hold on to what you are, and not try to change too much. In fact, she dreams of stepping out in her most casual outfit one day.

Brand ambassador of Maybelline, Alia does not believe in applying too much make-up.

“I don’t believe in changing your face completely. Make-up enhances few features and you can have a little fun with colours. But changing your face completely never works… hold on to what you are,” she told IANS in an interview.

Kalki Koechlin, Karan Johar and Aditya Roy Kapur of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were spotted at the film’s wrap up party hosted by Siddharth Roy Kapur and his wife Vidya Balan. Wearing a short aqua hue dress Kalki looked rather sweet showing off her ankles in red ribbon, floral pattern wedges. It’s a perfect summer look.

A special screening of “Bombay Talkies” held Friday night at Light Box in Santacruz saw celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Randeep Hooda, Gauri Shinde, Punit Malhotra, Abhishek Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ritesh Sidwani and Kalki Koechlin.

Karan, who roped in Rani Mukherji for his part of the movie, praised her, and said she is a brilliant performer.

“Rani is a very talented and a beautiful actress. She has been in the industry for so long she is a brilliant performer,” he said.

“Bombay Talkies” will also have a gala screening at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival, which begins May 15.

Actress Mallika Sherawat, who will soon be seen on a reality show hunting for her Mr. Right, feels filmmaker Karan Johar could be a right match for her.

The “Murder” girl will be seen in TV reality show “The Bachelorette India – Mere Khayaalon ki Mallika”, in which she will scout for her soulmate.

“Karan Johar. I just like him. He is just the perfect bachelor for me,” she told the reporters here at a press conference Monday.

Bollywood’s father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in a special song in “Bombay Talkies”.

A compilation of four short films celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema, “Bombay Talkies” has contributions by Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.

The makers have shot one special song for the film that will feature some of the known Bollywood stars including Sonam and Anil, said a statement.

“Student Of The Year” actor Sidharth Malhotra has started shooting for Karan Johar’s next production “Hasee Toh Phasee”, in which he stars opposite Parineeti Chopra. He is excited.

“Hey guys today (Thursday) is day one of ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’, feels great to be back on set again. Excited to work with this team, wish us luck, big love,” tweeted Sidharth.

Karan’s Dharma Productions is co-producing the film with Phantom Production, and Vinil Matthew is directing it.

The young UAE-Imported actor Taaha Shah, who debuted with feminist film from Yash Raj’s banner Luv Ka The End in 2011, will be seen again in Karan Johar’s female teen comedy titled ‘Gippy’. The film is already very much in the news because this is Karan Johar’s first film which is a teen-mom that boosts fresh faces all the way.

Taaha seems very happy to be a part of this Dharma Production’s film as he discloses Karan Johar never wanted to meet him in the first place. “I think I was very disappointed when I came to know Karan Johar didn’t want to see me. I had finished one of my shoot little early; I had rehearsed the script many times. But I am a kind of a guy who doesn’t take defeat and success seriously. I am okay with the film’s success and the failure. I really felt bad at that moment despite of my preparations, but I stayed in touch with Karan Johar.” said Taaha Shah.
