Recently Manish Malhotra tweeted that ‘So guys please be aware when youll are told they are originals cse they are not’. We presume that someone was selling his designs passing them off as originals. We also had Masaba tweet ‘An earnest request to all. Please do not buy any ‘Masaba’ fakes’

It’s a common practice everywhere that you will find replica of many designers’ clothes. While the designers earnestly request people not to buy them the buying continues.

Why would someone buy a ‘fake’? Is it because the originals are too expensive? Could it be that a lot of buyers simply buy the outfit because they like it unaware that it’s a copy. Maybe it’s because they want to share the look of their favourite star and want the style at an affordable price. Vote now and let us know your opinion.

Shilpa Shetty feels the heat and cools down with Masaba fan print tunic at SFL 15. She decided not to wear the runway version of black pants but opted for yellow instead. We are seeing more and more celebs mix and matching separates and coming up with some great combos. As always Shilpa Shetty looks charming with her glossy hair and great styling.

When it comes to fashion, our favourite piece of clothing has to be a jacket. A must have item in any one’s wardrobe they are so versatile. So no surprises that at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013, we were drawn to all the jackets that made their way down the runway.

Colourful checks, interesting textures, smart tailored cut jackets there were all there. We picked out some of our favourite ones from designers Namrata Joshipura. Naeem Khan, Nupur Kanoi, Masaba, Rimi Nayak, Sailex, Preeti Wanchoo and many more
It looks like the jacket love affair will continue for this season.

Now that the fashion shows are over it’s who is wearing what designer. Sarah Jane Dias jumped into a yellow print dress by Masaba, a design seen recently on the runway but in a different colour. We liked the length as we think that short dresses are not always appealing if you have knobby knees.

We just wish that she wore heels to complement the dress more. So are we going to see more of Masaba prints around?

It was exciting to see celebrities on the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013 Day 1 but even more exciting to see other celebrities and socialites at the event.

Marie Goretti, Mini Mathur and Shazahn Padamsee wore Masaba………after all she was showcasing. Poorna Jagannathan and Shruti Haasan opted for Shivan and Narresh while  Rhea Kapoor choose Anamika Khanna.

Let’s get picky. Both Manish Malhotra and Masaba showcased some sarees on the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013. We picked out two that we liked. Priyanka Chopra is wearing green and orange border Manish Malhotra saree while the model is in Masaba coral and black saree

Masaba put together another amazing and quirky print show at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013.

At Lakme she went for fan print. What is incredible is that Masaba manages to turn everyday objects into sheer delights. Nice colours of peppermint, corals, pale yellow, whites, and blacks were used. Loved the saree with a ring of people print…now how eccentric is that but so adorable.
