Don’t think Sonam Kapoor was out to impress anyone and was just in the mood for summer low key look. Diehard fans of Sonam of course will love her look while not so diehard fans of Sonam probably will take this opportunity to say how dowdy she looks. As for us we are just half way between love and loath. Is that chickening out? Oh well let’s get to the point. Do like the outfit but just feel that Sonam Kapoor lacked the oomph. How about you?

Family and friends gathered at Farah Khan Ali’s new store launch. A grand affair which included Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan, Sushmita Sen, Nandita Mahtani, Tara Sharma, Dia Mirza amongst others who came to admire her amazing collection, her new store and wish her success. Sheer fabric trends were seen in the runway at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013. Some may be coy wearing the sheer blouse showing of their underwear but it ups the sexy quotient. Not all were so exposing and majority of the designers ….Nishka Lulla, Shehla Khan, Rajat Tangri and others beautifully integrated the sheer fabric in their collection.

So if looking for the oopmh factor this season take the plunge and wear something sheer.

Nishka Lulla showcased her latest collection at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2013

Nishka Lulla’s collection reflected a Bohemian feel.

“My line is a transition from the last season. It follows the same story of a Bohemian girl, who likes to travel. I took inspiration from the dandelion flower, and there was a lot of transparent mix of fabric in the collection,” she said.

The collection comprised long dresses, shirts, long jackets as well as shorts in soothing colours like blue, beige and light pink, to beat the heat this summer.

TIGRE BLANC luxury vodka presented the post show party after designer Tarun Tahiliani’s offsite show for Lakmé Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 at Tote on the Turf, Mumbai. The evening came alive with the seductive spirit of Tigre Blanc.

The evening at Tote On The Turf transported guests into the opulent world of French luxury. Guests were seen enjoying the cocktail evening included French footwear designer Christian Louboutin, Queenie Singh, Madhoo Shah, Nisha Jamwval, Simone Singh, Maithili Ahluwalia, Sunil & Tanuja Padwal, Bandana Tewari, Shagun Gupta, Krishna Mehta and Nishka Lulla amongst many other fashionistas.

Sheeba, Alka Yagnik, Bhagyashree, Nishka Lulla and Rouble Nagi all attended the GR8 Women Achiever’s Awards dressed in their colourful sarees.

A few we liked especially Nishka Lulla’s vintage saree which happened to belonged to her grandmother. Sheeba’s saree was imaginative with the woman print bottom half. Probably the one that we were not so keen on was Rouble Nagi’s red saree.

From little black dresses to peplum style skirts, It seemed that black was the colour of the day at the Engima launch yesterday.

While Neeta Lulla was sporting a zara dress, Shilpa Shetty wore a River Island peplum dress which from our point of view was not a good fit her.

Other celebs wearing black included Anita Raj who paired trousers with a black sleeveless blouse, Neetu Chandra in a jump suit, Kim Sharma in a black dress, Pria Kataria Puri in black trousers and a peplum styled top, Raageshwari in trousers and a black jacket , Nishka Lulla who looked pretty in a black sleeveless dress and finally Sushmita Sen who we thought looked best in a simple but elegant black dress.
