Rana Daggubati ‘After I became an actor, style was kind of defined by the film that I did’
Rana Daggubati has no personal style statement and says his personality is “bits and pieces of the films” that he has done.
“After I became an actor, style was kind of defined by the film that I did because most films are extremely genre driven. The first film I did, which was a political drama, so I started looking like a politician in the process of it.
“My second film was ‘Dum Maro Dum’, where I looked like a goon, hippie… Then came ‘Department’, where I had a moustache and short hair, whatever I wore, I just looked like a cop,” the actor told reporters at a charity event held for underprivileged kids by designer Riyaz Gangji here.
“So, I think a film defines what you do and you kind of end up doing it beyond a film. I think my personality is bits and pieces of the films that I have done. It is a confused mess actually,” said the actor.

Genelia Deshmukh turns mentor for new show “The Chosen One”
Newly-wed actress Genelia Deshmukh will be seen mentoring 10 young girls on the TV show “Lux The Chosen One”. She says these youngsters are here to prove a point and not to make some noise.
“The show is about 10 beautiful girls who are here to prove a point and be the face of the UTV Stars. All the girls are confident and they know exactly what they want. It’s not like a typical reality show where everyone is just there to make some noise,” she said Wednesday at the launch of the show.
“Lux The Chosen One” is an official hunt for the face of UTV STARS.
This is Genelia’s second TV show after “Big Switch”.
She says she chose to groom the girls because she can relate to them.
“When I was a newcomer, I needed all of this (mentoring), unfortunately I didn’t get anything. This is a platform where they can learn and outdo each other.”
