After displaying his vocal abilities with hit song “Paani da rang” in debut movie “Vicky Donor”, Ayushmann Khurrana is keen to play a singer on-screen and sing for himself.

The 28-year-old, who played a sperm donor in his first film, told reporters: “I would love to play a singer in a film. Something like what Ranbir Kapoor played in ‘Rockstar’. It would be amazing. If I get to sing in a movie for myself and get to exploit my talent, then why not?”

If Deepika Padukone is satisfied after doing romantic comedy “Cocktail” in 2012, she wishes she had been part of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 2011 musical hit “Rockstar”.

“I am more than happy I was part of ‘Cocktail’. It was the most satisfying experience to do the film. The audience really appreciated me a lot in ‘Cocktail’,” Deepika told reporters.

Wearing a white and gold anarkali, hair in a simple plait and simple earrings her look was demure and appropriate for the occasion.

Sonam Kapoor was the only nominee present at the second edition of the Ghanta Awards at The Comedy Store in Mumbai and says she enjoyed it.

“Was at the Ghanta Awards. What a talented bunch of writers and actors! Great show guys,” tweeted the 26-year old actress who was nominated in the worst couple category along with “Mausam” co-star Shahid Kapoor. But the award went to Ranbir Kapoor-Nargis Fakhri.

Sonam won the WTF Was That award for “Mausam”.

Ghanta Awards took place Saturday and honoured the worst of Bollywood cinema from the past year. Awards were given in 13 categories inlcuding, worst actress to Nargis Fakhri (“Rockstar”); worst actor to Salman Khan (“Bodyguard” and “Ready”); worst director to Anees Bazmee for (“Ready” and “Thank You”) and worst film to “Ra.One”.

Czech Pakistani model Nargis Khan who was introduced to Bollywood by director Imtiaz Ali as Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest in the hit movie “Rockstar”, walked the ramp at the final day of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Sunday as the showstopper for designer Sakshee Pradhan. She wore shimmery trousers with a long flowy asymmetrical top.

After the show when Nargis came out for the press conference, she was heard saying: “It freaks me out to see so many people in front of me.”

Walking the ramp as a showstopper is a completely different experience, Nargis told reporters adding that “it is a very different experience.”

“Words cannot describe what you feel when you get on to the runway and you transform to something else. With this outfit, I feel like a glamorous diva,” she added.

Pradhan’s collection was urban and chic and included outfits like gowns, shorts, shimmery trousers, tunics in nude colours.

The models symbolised urban and free-spirited women when they walked the ramp in her creation along with headphones and spectacles.

This news interested us and made us sit up.  Now if it was an actress you will start to ponder a bit what type of surgery it was……could it be cosmetic? When we heard that Ranbir Kapoor underwent surgery we decided to dig around. This guy is cool so don’t think he needs to have any of ‘that’ type of surgery. Well we found out that Ranbir Kapoor had to have a cyst removed surgically on his back. So all is good and we wish him well.

Ranbir has recently won awards  for his performance in Rockstar and is currently looking forward towards his upcoming movie Barfee.

Vidya Balan and Ranbir Kapoor won the best actor trophies at the annual Filmfare awards ceremony here for their performances in “The Dirty Picture” and “Rockstar” respectively, while “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” bagged the best film honour.

Also, Zoya Akhtar took home the best director award for “Zindagi…”, while Ranbir was named the best actor in the critics’ choice category.

Priyanka Chopra won the best actress (critics’ choice) for her portrayal of a woman who kills her seven husbands in “7 Khoon Maaf”.

Farhan Akhtar picked the best dialogue award for his snazzy writing for “Zindagi…”

The 57th Filmfare awards ceremony was held in Film City here Sunday night.

Celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Madhuri Dixit, Sameera Reddy, Shreya Ghoshal, Onir, Farhan, Zoya, Deepika Padukone, Madhur Bhandarkar, Abhishek Bachchan, Rekha, Raveena Tandon, Anurag Kashyap, Subhash Ghai, Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari,Sarah Jane Dias and Gauri Khan walked the red carpet.
