With our team split in two camps…die hard Sonam Kapoor fans and the other group completely disliking her, we have to say that her fans are winning at the moment. Giving us a absolutely gorgeous look in a Dolce and Gabbana ball gown look at Cannes Film Festival she is now on the cover of Filmfare June 2013 issue in Christian Dior powder blue dress looking adorable. We however did not like her pose of her besides the pool and the man leaping in behind her…it looked more like someone pointing at her with a very long finger!

Among things Indian that Bollywood actresses Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor flaunted at the ongoing 66th Cannes International Film Festival, their bespoke nose rings, the traditional ‘nath’, drew immense attention. Designers believe this could set a trend of sorts among youth.
Sonam opted for a large nose ring to wear with an Anamika Khanna couture creation – an off-white sari teamed with an embellished full-sleeved jacket. Vidya, in turn, kept it traditional, with a Maharashtrian style ‘nath’ and wore it to compliment a Sabyasachi Mukherjee sari.
Fashionistas have opened up to the concept of wearing a nose ring.
Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor may have received a mixed reaction for their red carpet appearances at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival but fashion designer Ritu Beri feels proud about their ensemble selections.
She has hailed them for choosing an “Indian” look for the event.
Vidya made three appearances in traditional Indian costumes – a maroon lehenga, an ivory sari paired with a brown blouse and a light pink anarkali, for three different occasions on one day.
On the kick-off day, Sonam was spotted at the star-studded premiere of “The Great Gatsby” in an Anamika Khanna couture creation – an off-white sari teamed with a lattice work full-sleeve jacket. To add a zing to her look, she even wore a nose ring.
Still staying with Cannes Film Festival for all those fans who simply can’t get enough, have a look at the four gorgeous ladies Mallika Sherawat, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Freida Pinto who left no stone unturned to make sure that they looked good. Considering that they have makeup artists left right centre there really should be no excuse for not having flawless makeup. Here’s your chance to let us know and everyone who you thought got their lippy, foundation and eye shadow spot on. So get voting.

Sonam Kapoor attended d the ‘Jeune & Jolie’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival wearing a floral print Dolce & Gabbana gown. So far our favourite look from Sonam Kapoor. Liked her hair and rose print shoes. Sunita Kapoor necklace and thankfully no nose ring in sight completed her look!

So far the attention has been on Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor at Cannes but move over ladies Ashwairya Rai Bachchan is en route. The excitement begins…will she give Sonam and Vidya Balan a run for their money in the fashion stakes. From previous Cannes look Ashwairya has always looked stunning. This time she has an ace …….in the form of baby Bachchan. Not sure that her daughter will be walking the red carpet but already wearing a heart print pants she has melted our hearts…ahh

All the hype with what Sonam Kapoor will wear at Cannes has had us dunking our digestives more vigorously into our mugs. So here goes. In pink Elie Saab Couture at the Opening Gala…nice. At Great Gatsby Premiere in Anamika Khanna love the outfit but ABSOLUTELY hate the nose ring. Top right in Huemn black and white sari and gold Suhani Pittie earrings we were not able to make an informed decision whether she looked good or hot or down right plain but probably will hover and say that it’s a nice enough look but not ravishing. Now where is the mushy digestive?

“I like everything about stardom. I don’t mind being in the public eye. If anyone tells you that they want to be a film actor but they don’t want to be a star, that means they are lying. I love acting and love the fact the people like both my work and me. I am not pretentious enough to say that I cannot stand the attention,” Sonam told IANS in an interview.
The 27-year-old, who was seen in “Aisha” and “I hate Luv Stories”, will be next seen in Aanand L. Rai’s “Raanjhanaa” as well as “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” and YRF’s untitled film. Sonam will also be seen in the remake of 1980 film “Khubsoorat” that was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and starred Rekha and Rakesh Roshan in the lead roles.
