After Esha Deol’s engagement with businessman beau Bharat Takhtani, everyone is eagerly waiting to hear about her D-day. But her mother and veteran actress Hema Malini says they have yet to decided the wedding date.

According to a recent tabloid report, Esha and Bharat are planning to exchange the wedding vows in July, but Hema told reporters: “Wedding dates are not yet confirmed. I know a tabloid has published the wedding dates for May or July. I would like to stay mum on this matter. Whenever the dates, printings are done, we will make an official announcement.”

OMG….don’t the couple just look so lovely.  Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s elder daughter Esha Deol Sunday got engaged to businessman Bharat Takhtani, whom the Dream Girl describes as a “good looking” guy.

“The wedding dates have not been decided yet.  However, post ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’, we had decided that Esha would get settled. We will make an official announcement once we decide the marriage dates,” she told reporters and added: “My son-in-law is very good looking.”  

The ceremony, which took place at Hema’s bungalow in Juhu, was a private affair and was attended by close family members and some friends.

Jaya Bachchan, the only prominent name from Bollywood, was seen at the function.

Glowing in a simple and elegant pink sari with green embellishment, Esha chose to keep a simple look. She tied her hair and opted for very minimalist jewellery, while her beau looked smart in a white shirt, white coat and black pair of trousers.

A beaming Esha said: “I am very happy today. Thank you so much. It is because of your blessings I and Bharat are getting engaged today.”

Here we were thinking that Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will get engaged but no signs but guess what…… Esha Deol is set to exchange rings with her long-time boyfriend Mumbai-based businessman Bharat Takhtani Sunday, two days before Valentine’s Day.

“Yes, it is going to be a traditional ceremony at their Juhu residence Sunday. It will be a family affair,” Esha’s manager confirmed.

The time of engagement is yet to be revealed, but the family is said to be excited.

Daughter of veteran actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra, Esha began her tryst with Bollywood in 2002 with “Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe”. She went on to feature in films like “Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne”, “Na Tum Jaano Na Hum” and “Dhoom”.

Last year, Hema relaunched her 29-year-old with “Tell Me O Kkhuda”, but it failed to resurrect her career as the movie tanked at the box office.
