So it was the premiere of Rock of Ages last night in India and before you ask, No, Tom Cruise did not attend.

But we did spot Gul Panag wearing a Def Leppard t-shirt. Now who knew that Gul Panag was a fan of the rock band?

The new Tom Cruise film features three tracks from Def Leppard and Gul Panag gave Tom and the film a thumbs up tweeting “Needless to say, #nowhavecrush on Tom Cruise. Again. For the umpteenth time.”

When we just taking a rest from all the media rave about Tom Cruise visit to India and his  to promote his film Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, we get hit with the news that all those screaming  and waving fans may have been paid.  This is so embarrassing. A star like Tom Cruise surely does not need to churn up support. This is a pin-up handsome actor for millions of  women [and men may we add] around the world and has fans gushing over him. It has been reported that a group of 200 fans were hired for Rs 300 each to cheer for the actor when he landed in India. If only we had known beforehand we could have nudged a few “fans” for some information.

We have to add that representatives for Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures vehemently rejected published reports that residents of Mumbai were paid to cheer.

Time to be honest, most of us watch film premieres to catch a glimpse of the celebrities and to see who wore what never mind the film. So we were surprised to see what the men turned up in. You know that you have this vision that so and so will wear this or that so here’s our take on it. 

Now all eyes and cameras were on Tom Cruise. When your in the spotlight its not the time to go denim and casual. Save it when your going to the flicks with your buddies. Anil Kapoor is looking dapper but no tie? Maybe he did have one but seeing Tom so cool decided to whip it off. Neil Nitin shawl labels very trendy but he looked very spiffy.  Dhanush  suit too grey…..get in the groove man. Abhishek Bachchan trying too hard.

It always help if your papa is hosting the biggest bash in town for Tom Cruise but Sonam Kapoor proved that she was a cracker in her own way.  

 Sonam stepped out in a brilliant red dress designed by Prabal Gurung that was sexy in its full party skirt and had one sleeve nonchalantly slipping off her shoulder. We loved her whole look but maybe her locks could of been better styled. The dress was modelled by Karlie Kloss for Prabal Gurung Fall 2011 and think that her look was much better put together. Be prepared Tom Cruise as the chances are that you will be mobbed where ever you go. This is Tom Cruise’s first ever visit to the country and he can be sure that he will love it. It is after all Bollywood.

Cruise, 49, looking dapper in a white t-shirt and khaki pants, arrived at 6 am and checked into a hotel.”Tom has arrived. He is in Delhi. He will be in Mumbai by late evening today. There after he will attend a party at co-actor Anil Kapoor’s house,” said sources.

He is staying at the hotel’s exquisite Maharaja Suite, which has a personal gym, jacuzzi and is one of the most expensive suites in the country, said sources. The international star is also due to fly to Mumbai where he is hosting a special screening for 1,500 fans two weeks before the film’s worldwide release Dec 21.

All you fans of Tom Cruise get ready to be thrilled as the man himsef is coming to India to promote his latest film Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. The bad news is that Katie Holmes and daughter Suri will not be coming…..Nooooooooooo. We so wanted to see them as well. Never mind we can all concentrate on the handsome Tom Cruise.

 A big Cruise bash being planned by his official hosts Viacom 18. The  venue will be chosen from either Taj Rooftop or the Four Seasons and only invitees will get to hear where it is. The 200 guest list will be complied by  Anil Kapoor. So if you have seen a few odd people hanging around Anil Kapoor recently you now know why.  

Vikram Malhotra has said from the studio, “Tom Cruise’s management expressed his desire to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra as he’s keen to see this wonder of the world, despite his tight schedule. We are working towards fitting the Agra visit into his itinerary”. 

So hang in here with us as we follow Tom Cruise on his promo trip. Don’t they have so much fun.

It appears that Katie Holmes will  accompany her superstar husband Tom Cruise, who is coming to India on Dec 2 to promote his forthcoming film ‘Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol’. Katie Holmes, who is starring in Jack and Jill with Adam Sandler, told MTV Digital during an interview for the promotion of the film “I think I’m actually going to go in December Little vacation little..Little thinking, yes,” Does she mean India??

No mention of Suri Cruise accompanying them. Now that would of been interesting because is already a little fashion icon. No matter what we all know that Tom Cruise is a hearthrob so maybe she  is going to make sure that he is not swept off his feet by some dusky bollywood babe. Oh an interesting bit of fact….Tom Cruise is 5 ft 7 inches tall and Katie is 5 ft 10 inches.
