Bollywood’s father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor will be seen together for the first time in a special song in “Bombay Talkies”.

A compilation of four short films celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema, “Bombay Talkies” has contributions by Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Karan Johar.

The makers have shot one special song for the film that will feature some of the known Bollywood stars including Sonam and Anil, said a statement.

Around 70 people including 30 celebrities walked the ramp as designer Vikram Phadnis showcased his fashion line Monday at Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort 2013 on the theme of celebration of rural India.

Ashutosh Gowariker, Anurag Basu, Vaibhavi Merchant, Ekta Kapoor, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Kunal Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Poonam Sinha, Vaibhavi Merchant, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, Farah Khan, Rohit Bal, Dia Mirza, Jitendra, Sushant Singh Rajput, Juhi Chawla among others walked the ramp supporting the noble cause.

Phadnis also made it a point to include various common people from Swades foundation who walked with the celebrities.

Phadnis partnered with Swades Foundation, an NGO working for the empowerment of rural India, for his fashion show. He dedicated his line to this cause.

Rani Mukerji & Prithviraj and their choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant were seen at the music release of their upcoming film Aiyyaa. South Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to mark his debut in Bollywood.

He arrived at the venue of the event in typical South Indian attire, wearing a blue shirt and a white “mundu” while Rani went for all hot pink saree. She looked too pink and even wore pink flowers in her hair.

“Aiyyaa” is slated for release Oct 12.

Vaibhavi went for a strapless billowing blue gown. She looked beautiful although the look was a bit bland and the entire look seemed too “heavy.” Wish she had done something with her hair.

Natasha made quite the fashion statement with her deep blue one shoulder gown and added a bit of oomph with a chic hair do.
