His first film did well and he should have his plate full with new assignments, but Varun Dhawan begs to differ. He wants to stick to one film policy and for the time being he would also like to stay single.

“I am doing a film, energies are focused there. I am a firm believer in doing just one film at a time. I am new and should concentrate,” Varun told IANS.

After debuting with “Student Of The Year” (SOTY), which did fairly good business at the box office, the youngster will be next seen in his father David Dhawan’s “Main Tera Hero”.

Parineeti Chopra and Varun Dhawan delighted their fans attending the launch of Tencent’s WeChat messenger application in Mumbai. Interesting to see that Parineeti Chopra, opted to wear a green Zara skirt to go with the launch colours. Not really our choice and we get the impression the Parineeti is off to a basketball match in her team colours…minus the pump shoes of course. Too girly for us.

A special screening of “Bombay Talkies” held Friday night at Light Box in Santacruz saw celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Randeep Hooda, Gauri Shinde, Punit Malhotra, Abhishek Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ritesh Sidwani and Kalki Koechlin.

Karan, who roped in Rani Mukherji for his part of the movie, praised her, and said she is a brilliant performer.

“Rani is a very talented and a beautiful actress. She has been in the industry for so long she is a brilliant performer,” he said.

“Bombay Talkies” will also have a gala screening at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival, which begins May 15.

Varun Dhawan’s dancing prowess was on full display in his Bollywood debut “Student Of The Year”. When he was asked to groove impromptu for an ad recently, he was all for it.

The trained dancer had to do a jig for the ‘Tibetan yak dance’ ad for aerated drink brand Coke. He is seen dancing with the ‘yak’ and offering a bottle of Coke to it.

If sources are to be believed, the ad makers insisted on not having any choreographers on set. When Varun learned that he just has to be himself and dance unrehearsed to make it look natural, he was all for it.

We always love to see what celebs wear at airports but can’t say that we were too thrilled when we caught Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Raj Kundra and others snapped coming back from Delhi charity match. Manish Malhotra Friday dedicated his line to 100 years of Indian cinema at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer-Resort 2013.

The show started with four filmmakers of “Bombay Talkies” — Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee and Zoya Akhtar.

The designs started off from the black and white era and had a collection of lehengas and kurtas. After this came the colour era with bright colours like pink, green and yellow. The clothes had detailed embroidery work on them as well. This was followed by a vibrant range of patterns like polka dotted clothes which was later followed more modern apparel.

Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan walking the ramp. Kajol and Karishma were also invited to walk the ramp with Manish Malhotra.

Alia Bhatt was spotted at Stardust Awards 2013 announcements alongside Varun Dhawan, Esha Gupta and Siddharth Malhotra.

Looking suitably stylish Alia opted to wear white skinny pants, white top and bright coloured jacket. It’s a non-fussy look and definitely a change for her never ending short dresses.

Hair pulled back, natural make up, kohl rimmed eyes and black and white platforms completed her look.
