Sabyasachi & Amrapali: Vidya Balan final appearance at Zulu-premiere (PHOTOS)
Vidya Balan made her final appearance on the red carpet at Cannes, for the premiere of ‘Zulu’ and the closing ceremony of the festival itself looking regal. She opted for Amrapali Navratna studded yellow gold ring, a multi-stone yellow gold ring, a yellow gold pearl and polka ring and traditional yellow gold and pearl jhumkis to complete her Sabyasachi anarkali ensemble.
So glad that she decided to change her hairstyle a bit and have it more casual.

Hot or Not: Bollywood celebs strutting their stuff at Cannes Film Festival
Just when will Bollywood ever get it right? As the world celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema, Indian stars, it seems, went a little overboard in projecting the ethnic, oriental look at the Cannes red carpet that saw Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Sherlyn Chopra either going big on bling or heavy on jewellery and embroidery.
Aishwarya Rai, who has been a regular at Cannes for 11 years, didn’t go for the Indian look but was panned for her choice of clothes and hair.
The display seemed surprising, considering that well-known designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anamika Khanna and Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla were helping the stars put their best foot forward at the Cannes International Film Festival, which began May 15 and ends May 26.
Lady in Red: Vidya Balan in Sabyasachi at ‘Un Chateau En Italie’ Premiere (PHOTOS)
Wearing another Sabyasachi saree Vidya Balan looked incredibly chic at Cannes ‘Un Chateau En Italie’ Premiere. Loved the bold red colour saree, and the string of south sea pearls that she wore which were designed by Pankaj Surana. Probably the only thing that we did not like was that she seemed much older…still that’s not saying that she did not look impeccable. Do you think that this is her best look at Cannes so far?

Vidya Balan drapes another Sabyasachi saree at Bombay Talkies Premiere (PHOTOS)
Vidya Balan once again hit the red carpet at Bombay Talkies Premiere Cannes wearing another Sabyasachi saree teamed with Amrapali jewels. Well she did say that she was going to be wearing Sabyasachi Cannes Film Festival but we half expected that she might combine it with another designer outfit….but no not Vidya Balan. Setting that aside we think she looked chic. Probably brown and maroon are not our most favourite colours but by heck if we can look this chic should we really be complaining?

Sonam Kapoor wears nose ring at Cannes but she’s not the only one! (PHOTOS)
Among things Indian that Bollywood actresses Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor flaunted at the ongoing 66th Cannes International Film Festival, their bespoke nose rings, the traditional ‘nath’, drew immense attention. Designers believe this could set a trend of sorts among youth.
Sonam opted for a large nose ring to wear with an Anamika Khanna couture creation – an off-white sari teamed with an embellished full-sleeved jacket. Vidya, in turn, kept it traditional, with a Maharashtrian style ‘nath’ and wore it to compliment a Sabyasachi Mukherjee sari.
Fashionistas have opened up to the concept of wearing a nose ring.
Ritu Beri gives thumbs up to Vidya, Sonam’s Cannes look
Vidya Balan and Sonam Kapoor may have received a mixed reaction for their red carpet appearances at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival but fashion designer Ritu Beri feels proud about their ensemble selections.
She has hailed them for choosing an “Indian” look for the event.
Vidya made three appearances in traditional Indian costumes – a maroon lehenga, an ivory sari paired with a brown blouse and a light pink anarkali, for three different occasions on one day.
On the kick-off day, Sonam was spotted at the star-studded premiere of “The Great Gatsby” in an Anamika Khanna couture creation – an off-white sari teamed with a lattice work full-sleeve jacket. To add a zing to her look, she even wore a nose ring.
