Ranbir Kapoor, who shared dance moves with Madhuri Dixit in one of the songs in his forthcoming film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”, got affectionate with the dhak-dhak girl.

“Madhuri is great and I am glad I got an opportunity to dance with her. She is very talented, very hardworking and always on time. I also kissed on her cheek. It was lovely,” said the 30-year-old.

“Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is scheduled to release May 31. The film also features Deepika Padukone.

Kalki Koechlin, Karan Johar and Aditya Roy Kapur of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were spotted at the film’s wrap up party hosted by Siddharth Roy Kapur and his wife Vidya Balan. Wearing a short aqua hue dress Kalki looked rather sweet showing off her ankles in red ribbon, floral pattern wedges. It’s a perfect summer look.

It’s Sunday so being in a melodious mood we liked this latest song release from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ‘Kabira’.

Kabira is a soothing melody with a Sufi touch, sung by Tochi Raina and Rekha Bharadwaj. Lyrics are by Amitabh Bhattacharya & the music of the movie is composed by Pritam. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is slated to release on the 31st of May this year.

Deepika Padukone, who teamed up with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor after five years in forthcoming film “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (YJHD), says they are not into a relationship any more but are friends for life.

“Ranbir and I were in a relationship. But we are friends now and will be for life. We know each other well and we had a lovely time shooting (the film),” Deepika said in a statement.

“Moreover, we were more like our characters than ourselves on the sets. I forget about my personal life when I am in character,” added the actress who was last seen with Ranbir in 2008 release “Bachna Ae Haseeno”.

Deepika Padukone says she had fun playing “wicked” in “Cocktail”. Now gearing up for distinct films like “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” and “Ram Leela”, the actress says she is happy that she gets a “fair amount of choices” in Bollywood.

“Yes, I get a fair amount of choices. There are so many different kinds of films being made, and therefore so many roles. 2012 was an amazing year for cinema. 2013 seems equally exciting,” Deepika said.

Working with her former beau Ranbir Kapoor in “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” wasn’t an uncomfortable experience for the 27-year-old.

Deepika Padukone, who won the critics’ award for best actress for her performance in “Cocktail” at the just-concluded Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) awards in Vancouver, describes it as the most memorable moment of her life till now.

Asked about her most memorable moment and time of her life, Deepika said: “Ironic that you ask me this question today. The fact that I won the best actor – critics’ at the TOIFA awards. For me, I think right now that’s the most memorable moment for me.”

“I am sad that I couldn’t be there (in Vancouver), but people from there started calling me and I am very happy,” she added.

Ranbir Kapoor came to the rescue of his “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” co-star Deepika Padukone when a question was posed to her regarding her “RK” tattoo.

Ranbir became upset when a reporter asked Deepika if she would be ready to sport another tattoo for the promotion of “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”.

Ranbir said: “I don’t think any actor in the film fraternity does things for promoting and marketing of a film. We also have a personal life. We do things for a film, but when we go home, we have a life, parents, family, and friends. So you should respect that.”

“You ask a question like this and if Deepika answers it, that would become an article for you. So it will be best that you also have a little dignity at a press conference like this and not bring up questions like this,” he added.

Deepika Padukone, who is sharing screen space with her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji’s “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”(YJHD), says the actor is possessive about her.

The first look launch of the film happened Tuesday here and when asked about the experence, she humorously said that the actor is “possessive” about her.

“Ranbir is possessive about me (smiles). It feels like it’s my first film. I am excited about it,” Deepika told reporters during the first look launch of the film here Tuesday.

In one of the scenes shown in the promo, Deepika says “Main tumahare saath 2 min bhi rahi toh muje pyaar ho jayega tumse, Phir se.”

When asked about the dialogue, the 27-year-old said: “I would like to say the chemical combination has been tested before and then we agreed to do the film.”

The actor, who will be seen with Deepika after four long years, says the actress has grown over the years.
